Administrative Assistant/Accounting Clerk

We are currently seeking an administrative assistant to join our team.

 

Responsibilities include:

 
-  Performing a variety of administrative tasks
-  Accounts payable and bill paying.
-  Accounts receivable and deposits.
-  Administering and supporting practice management system.
-  Payroll.
-  Maintaining personnel records and assisting with employee benefits.
-  Handling confidential matters on a daily basis.
 
Will also provide backup support including the following responsibilities:
 
-   Typing, proofing and editing client correspondence.
-   Assembling and copying tax returns.
-   Greeting clients and answering telephone calls.
-   Processing mail, courier and overnight shipments.
 
Qualifications include:
 
-   Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
-   60+ words per minute typing ability.
-   Flexibility to work overtime during tax season & other times as needed.
-   Ability to prioritize assignments and work under pressure of short deadlines.
-   Strong organizational skills.
-   Attention to detail.
-   Experience working for multiple individuals.
-   Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 
Experience working in the accounting industry and Practice CS software is a plus.

Experienced Tax Preparer (Seasonal)

We are currently seeking an Experienced Tax Preparer to join our firm. 

 

The position will offer the right candidate flexibility in their work schedule requiring 30-40 hours per week during tax season.

 

Responsibilities:

Preparation of individual, corporate and partnership tax returns.
Tax research projects.

Special projects as needed.

 

 

Qualifications:

-  Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

A minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

-   Experience preparing a wide variety of tax returns.

Good working knowledge of QuickBooks and Creative Solutions software is a plus.

Tax Season Paid Internships

 

We are currently seeking Tax Season Interns. 

Cohen & Grieb, P.A. works closely with local universities to extend paid internship opportunities to junior and senior accounting majors interested in gaining tax season experience in a public accounting environment.  Cohen & Grieb interns gain first-hand real world experience and enjoy excellent training opportunities working with experienced CPAs.
